All you need to know about Netley
Netley (or to give its official title of Netley Abbey) is situated on the south coast of England in the county of Hampshire. Flanked by the beautiful Royal Victoria Country Park on one side and the ruins of its namesake Netley Abbey, this picturesque village sits to the east of Southampton and is recognised for its more traditional and quaint approach to modern living.
The oldest part of Netley is popular amongst families due to its close proximity to local amenities, as well as the sea and a vast landscape of fantastic natural woodland perfect for dog walking and family days out.
Rows of colourful terraced cottages and smaller traditional shops make Netley a great place to live, as well as a beautiful shingle beach that provides great views of Hythe and Calshot.
Properties in Netley are idyllic period homes set in a brilliantly quaint area. There are a variety of different homes available with terraced being the most common in the more populated areas, but as Netley continues to grow, more new build properties are starting to appear away from the shore giving more opportunities to buyers.
Netley Railway Station is connected to the mainline and there are regular services to the local cities of Southampton and Portsmouth.
